Rickshaw x SAWC Mentorship Program

  • For the first time, Rickshaw is partnering with the South Asian Writers Committee - a group of seasoned and established South Asian screenwriters who are members of the WGA. Over the course of this 12 week program, selected applicants will be paired with mentors from SAWC. Selected applicants will develop a refined pilot/short script while receiving insight, wisdom, and knowledge from their mentors.

Applications closed on March 15th, 2023.

  • All applicants with an interest in writing and commitment to growth are encouraged to apply. Applicants must be available for a 1.5 hour weekly virtual meeting over the 12 week period. Additionally, applicants should expect to meet with their mentors once a month.

Prior writing experience is heavily encouraged for applicants interested in this program due to the nature of its structure.

We expect a deep passion for storytelling, personal accountability, and strong work ethic from each of our applicants.
